Our Ecological Services:
Pest Control
Pest plant and animal control is a vital part of any successful restoration and revegetation project. We use pest control methods that are relevant to the specie and have been specifically developed for the different environments we work within.
Our team of over 40 field workers are experienced in site preparation, landscaping, pest plant and animal control, and general site maintenance. Our methods for pest plant control range from hand-pulling, cutting and stump-treating, to foliar spray and drill and fill (injection with herbicide).
When it comes to pest animal control, we can organise a pest trapping programme, along with installing pest traps and tracking tunnels, checking and maintaining the pest lines and recording and reporting on trap catches.
We are regularly involved in multi-species control projects in both public and private land across Northland and Auckland. We have vast experience working in both terrestrial and aquatic environments, with pest control projects undertaken on private land (e.g. QEII bush covenant), Significant Natural Area’s as well as stormwater ponds and wetland systems.
Our involvement can be tailored to suit your projects needs and budget – from the entirety of a project or simply jumping in during any part of the process.
