We have recently installed a new hothouse and shade-house at Rural Design to help us build towards the future. The hot house will allow for us to propagate cuttings and plants all year round, focussing on the production of coastal species and harder to grow specimen trees. The shade house allows us more room to put shade sensitive plants in, while also giving selected freshly potted species a slight reprieve before they go our in the harsh Aotearoa sun. Having this infrastructure in place is important for Rural Design to provide a diverse range of plants in an increasingly competitive industry.
